Cookies and Visit Data

This page explains what is recorded when you visit hendl.com.tr, where it is stored and how long it is kept.

Visit data kept on our own server

When a page opens, the page, the product, the language, the approximate country, the IP address and where the visit came from (for example a search engine or an advert) are recorded on our own server. This counter does not use cookies. Name, email and phone are not recorded. Our server is in a Hetzner Online GmbH data centre in Germany.

We use this data to see which pages, products and languages draw interest and which countries visits come from. Records are deleted automatically after 24 months.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you choose “Accept all” in the cookie notice, or turn on Analytics under “Settings”, Google Analytics 4 runs. If you choose “Only necessary” or make no choice, nothing is sent to Google.

If you accept, Google sets two cookies whose names start with _ga in your browser. They last 2 years. Google Analytics collects the pages you view, device and browser information and your approximate location. Advertising features are off.

The data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC and may be transferred to servers outside Türkiye and the EU, including the USA. This transfer is based on the explicit consent you give in the cookie notice. Our Google Analytics account keeps this data for 14 months.

Google Ads (only with your consent)

This section applies only while our Google Ads advertisements are running. Until then, the cookie notice shows no Marketing option and the Google Ads tag does not load.

While our ads are running, Google Ads conversion measurement runs if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie notice or turn on Marketing under “Settings”. We use it to measure how our ads contribute to quote requests. Marketing consent is independent of Analytics consent. If you do not allow Marketing, the Google Ads tag does not load. We do not use personalised advertising or remarketing.

If you consent, Google may set advertising measurement cookies whose names start with _gcl in your browser. They last at most 90 days.

When a quote request is sent successfully, a conversion is reported to Google Ads, with a random quote reference as its transaction ID. The name, email, phone and company details you enter in the quote form are not added to that report, and we do not use enhanced conversions. Google may still process ad click IDs, cookie IDs, page information and connection data such as your IP address.

If you arrive from an ad and allow Marketing, the ad click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) and campaign parameters (utm_*) are kept in your browser only while that tab is open. If you send a quote request, they are kept with the quote reference on our own server, in a separate record with restricted access, for at most 90 days, and are then deleted automatically. The email to our sales team does not contain the click ID; it shows only the campaign source (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and whether there was an ad click.

This data may also be processed by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC under Google's own responsibility, and transferred to servers outside Türkiye, including the USA. This transfer is based on the explicit consent you give in the cookie notice. How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and Google Analytics stops from the next page on. When you withdraw Marketing consent, our _gcl cookies and the ad click IDs kept in your browser are deleted and further Google Ads measurement stops. We cannot delete cookies on Google's own domains; for data already sent, write to us.

Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the name “hendl-ga”, and the date of the choice and the version of the cookie notice under “hendl-consent”. While our Google Ads advertisements are running, your Marketing choice is kept under “hendl-ads”. They are not sent to Google. Your choice (accept or refuse) is valid for 6 months; after that, or when the wording of our cookie notice changes, we ask again.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the GDPR, you can ask to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to info@hendl.com.tr.
