Cranes and power supply
Partially enclosed conductor rail systems supply electrical power to cranes and moving industrial equipment along their operating paths.
Power is transferred through conductors positioned inside an insulating protective profile and moving current collection elements.
Systems can be configured with conductor rails, current collectors and connection components for different line lengths, mounting arrangements and operating conditions.
Schematic drawing; not a product photograph.
The conductor rail line is mounted on the supporting structure using suitable hangers and fasteners. The current collector connected to the moving equipment travels along the rail conductors while maintaining electrical contact.
Depending on the system type, continuous copper conductors, line extension elements and spring tensioning mechanisms may be used. These components provide solutions for maintaining electrical continuity and mechanical arrangement along the line.
In systems using continuous copper conductors, the conductor can be installed along the line with fewer joints. This is an option to consider for organising conductor connections, particularly on long routes.
Suitable joining and mounting elements allow a conductor rail line to be assembled and additional line sections to be planned when required.
Products with a flexible line structure may be considered for curved routes when the required bending radius and the manufacturer's installation conditions are met.
Spring tensioning and adjustment components used in suitable systems serve to maintain the conductor's mechanical arrangement and accommodate length changes caused by temperature variations.

Considering conductor rails, hangers, connections and current collectors as separate components makes it possible to plan installation and maintenance work with a focus on the relevant parts.
Conductor rail lines are the main system components used to transfer electrical power.
Rated current, pole arrangement and line construction depend on the product type selected.
These ratings are published for continuous-type conductor rails. No HENDL model is linked to the partially enclosed conductor rail on this page.

Conductor carbon.
Current collector brushes and related contact components establish an electrical connection between moving equipment and the conductor line.
Maintenance and spare-part selection must take account of the existing product model and component compatibility.
Feed elements, connecting parts and hanger components are used to establish the electrical connection and mechanical mounting of the conductor rail line.
Suitable components are determined according to the line layout.

Towing arm.
The towing arm creates a mechanical motion connection between the moving equipment and the current collection assembly.
Its geometry and mounting position must be compatible with the conductor rail and collector arrangement in use.
Required current, line length, travel distance, indoor or outdoor conditions and crane layout are considered when selecting a suitable partially enclosed conductor rail system.
For spare parts for existing systems, the manufacturer, product model, mounting dimensions and electrical specifications must be checked.
If you need a new partially enclosed conductor rail system or spare parts for your existing line, you can share your application's technical information with HENDL.
A quotation is prepared after evaluating suitable system and component options according to the line layout, required current and operating conditions.
