Product introduction
The HENDL Rail Lifting Clamp is a below-the-hook lifting attachment developed for crane handling and in-plant transport of railway rails. It has a nominal lifting capacity of 2 tonnes and features a semi-automatic gripping mechanism for controlled handling. The body is finished in HENDL yellow, RAL 1028.
Standard Capacity And Dimensions
Nominal lifting capacity: 2 tonnes. Gripping type: semi-automatic. Finish colour: RAL 1028. Compatible rail sections, connection details and operating limits are confirmed for the intended application. Unlisted dimensions and compliance documents require separate verification.
Working Principle
The clamp is positioned on a rail section verified as compatible with the application. Its semi-automatic gripping arrangement provides mechanical engagement with the rail during lifting. Positioning, lifting, lowering and release must follow the validated operating instructions for the supplied equipment.
Selection
Equipment selection considers the rail cross-section and head geometry, rail length and mass, number of gripping points, centre of gravity, crane-hook interface, duty and site conditions. Compatibility with every rail profile must not be assumed.
Technical Selection and Application
Available with a 2-tonne nominal lifting capacity, semi-automatic gripping mechanism and RAL 1028 finish. Rail-section compatibility and the lifting-point arrangement are assessed for each application.

Questions
Which railway rail profiles are compatible?
Compatibility depends on the geometry of the rail head and the lifting arrangement. Suitability for a specific profile is not stated until its section drawing or profile has been assessed.
How many clamps are required to lift one rail?
The required number depends on rail length, total mass, centre of gravity and permissible deflection, and must be established by engineering review.
How does the rail lifting clamp operate?
The equipment incorporates a semi-automatic gripping mechanism. Engagement and release must follow the product operating instructions and the approved lifting arrangement.
